We offer a small revolving loan fund to assist in financing maintenance projects for historic homes. These loans, of up to $5000, are offered at 5-percent for three years. If you would like additional information on the loan program, please call the Preservation Foundation offices.

The City of Saratoga Springs has an historic preservation property tax incentive program available for homeowners. If you are doing a significant project on your historic home, one that is approved through the Design Review Commission, and which increases the assessed value of your home, you can defer that property tax increase for five years, and then the value will increase 20-percent per year for each of the next five years. The Preservation Foundation can assist you in completing the forms necessary to apply for this tax incentive.
