Historic Plaque Program
Perhaps you’ve noticed these plaques on homes in Saratoga Springs. They identify the date of a building and the name and profession of the people for whom it was built. Not only do these plaques commemorate a building, they also acknowledge the stewardship of an owner in preserving and maintaining the home’s historic character.
If you would like your home to be recognized this way, the Preservation Foundation’s Historic Plaque Program can help. We have trained volunteers who research the ownership history of your home and suggest a designation for the plaque. After your review, the plaque is cast in bronze. The cost of an historic plaque and the house history is $270 for members, $300 for non-members. Please call us or stop by the Preservation Foundation office for a copy of the Plaque Application form.
