| WHO ARE WE?
History
Leaps & Bounds Family Services was established in 1988, as the Poverty and Social Reform Institute. The name change occurred in 2003. We are a private, non profit 501C3 tax exempt organization, supported through individual and corporate contributions, United Way support, foundation grants, government contracts and fees for service.
Since inception, Leaps & Bounds has provided early literacy and parenting through on site and home based programming, services for school-aged youth, and services for adults. Leaps & Bounds is open to all individuals. We have offices in northwest Detroit and south Warren.
