High Level 2008 Accomplishments:
- 16 – Towns served
- 1396 – Families served from Jan to Dec (Note: We served 156 families in October and 163 families in November. These are the largest number of families served since the founding of the pantry in 1983)
- 25 – Food Stamp Preliminary Applications submitted on behalf of applicant
- 25+ – Referrals for specific assistance
- 50+ – Children received school supplies
- 120 – Turkeys (plus a few hams) distributed (Thanksgiving and Christmas). The holiday food was received from the Foodbank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties and through many donations.
- 80+ – Families received coats, children clothes and other items via donations we received.
- 227 – Children sponsored for Christmas gifts through the generosity of many individuals, businesses, churches and organizations
- Raised $22,636.00 toward our New Building Project
I would like to say “Thank You” to our Associate Director, Marge Conway for doing such a great job again this year in coordinating the Christmas gifts for the children and to all the KMFP Volunteers that worked so hard along with Marge in distributing the gifts and holiday food on December 23rd. A very special “Thank You” to all the individuals, businesses, churches and organizations that sponsored our client’s children.

- Thank You to St. Mary the Virgin Episcopal Church for allowing us to use their hall to distribute the Christmas gifts and holiday dinners.

One of our new supporters Hazlet VFW Post #4303 donated $1,000.00 in gift cards toward the purchase of food. Mr. Hagel presented gift cards on behalf of Post Commander Frank Romeo and Post members. (12/08)
