Welcome to BLEWS, the Black/Jewish Forum of Baltimore!
Since our founding in 1978, the Black/Jewish Forum of Baltimore (BLEWS) has been serving the Baltimore area for 30 years. We are an organization of individuals committed to promoting increased understanding and cooperation between Baltimore's Black and Jewish communities, and to working together to address issues of common concern, from opposing racial and religious discrimination to advancing social and economic justice for all.
Through educational programs, peer dialogue and collaborative projects, we seek to build mutual trust, to advance shared interests, to appreciate each other's uniqueness and perspectives, to enjoy our cultural diversity along with our common humanity, and to develop leadership that can effectively prevent crisis or deal with crises when necessary.
