Welcome to the 2009 Fall Season of the
YWCA Girls Community Field Hockey Program!
We will still call Hempfield Park home this fall season. We will have five practices before our first official game, but no formal preseason. All practices will be held on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays beginning August 24th. All practices will run from
4:30 – 6:00 pm. We must be off the field after practice and games at 6 pm to accommodate other Hempfield recreation programs. For the first time, we will be traveling to Columbus Ohio for a play day on October 10, 2009.
§ Our fall season home field will be at Hempfield Park, off of Route 66 N of Greensburg on the upper baseball outfield.
§ Please consider bringing friends to try field hockey and sign up for the team.
§ Practices start Monday, August 24th - Please see game and practice schedule below.
§ Our first game is September 9th at Aquinas Academy, Gibsonia.
§ Check your email daily during the season in case of changes.
§ A Parent Meeting is scheduled for Wed., Sept 2nd at 6:15 pm at the field to distribute uniforms and discuss season details.
It is going to be a GREAT season!!
