Southern California Alcohol & Drug Programs stresses the need for development of skills for self-sufficiency in order to prevent substance abuse relapse and long-term welfare dependency. The agency’s Next Step program brings mobile employment services on-site to all SCADP programs to help participants prepare for and secure employment. Our mobile staff assist participants with preparation for their GED, development of interview and vocational skills, learning basic computer skills, as well as development of winning resumes/applications, and job placement. The program also works with local employers to advocate for the employment of recovering men and women.
