Ryno is a handsome boy that really
wants to find his forever home!
RYNO: Still Looking For A Special Someone

The benefits to adopting an older pug are immeasurable. Here are Ryno’s top ten reasons as to why you should adopt him:

  1. I’m handsome. Check out my big soulful brown eyes and soft plushy fawn fur.
  2. Unlike a hyper puppy, I have the energy to play with other pets but I won’t eat your shoes.
  3. I’m housebroken. Enough said.
  4. I’m good with other pugs. I do like to enjoy meal time by myself, though so I don’t have to share my yummy grain-free diet.
  5. I’m healthy. Daily eye drops and an inexpensive thyroid pill keep me in tip-top shape.
  6. I provide unconditional love. If you know pugs, you know that I’ll be in your lap contentedly snoring away any chance I can.
  7. I’m crate trained. You can leave me in my crate and I’ll happily snooze and play with my toys.
  8. I’m snuggly. Your lap + me= match made in heaven.
  9. I’m great with adults. I love people and people love me.
  10.  I’m great with kids. I don’t nip and rough house with them but I love the attention.

We Need Your Help

Like many rescues and non-profits, the economic situation has affected pug rescue. Donations are down yet we have a record number of pugs coming in. So far in 2009, more than 50 pugs have been adopted thru NIPRA. We're only halfway through the year but we're on track to take in 50% more pugs than last year!  We currently have more than 20 pugs looking for forever homes - many of whom still need medical care.

Unfortunately our bills have surpassed our donations and fundraising efforts. We need to raise some funds to pay our vet bills and to get care for the pugs currently in rescue.

Donations, no matter how small, would help. You can donate via check (payable to NIPRA) or via Paypal. To donate via PayPal click below:

We also have two fundraisers.  Purchase a magazine subscription or if cars are more to your liking, purchase raffle tickets to win a classic Corvette and NIPRA will receive a portion of the proceeds. Links to the fundraisers are above right.

 About Us
NIPRA is a 501c3 non-profit organization that exists to assist the community in placing needy pugs in permanent, loving homes. All adoption fees and donations go solely for the rescue, care, and placement of mistreated, unwanted or homeless Pugs.
