Counselor Training Seminar:
Assisting Those with Same-Sex Attraction & Their Loved Ones
The Counselor Training Seminar is for those therapists, ministry leaders and coaches who wish to assist those dealing with same-sex attraction (SSA) and their loved ones. In this training program, you will learn: 1) how to identify the causes of SSA, 2) develop a successful treatment plan for change; 3) therapeutic strategies to use in each stage of treatment; 4) how to prepare SSA men and women for dating, 5) ways to help parents, spouses and family members; and 6) prevent burn out: how to take care of yourself. Everyone who attends each class will receive a Certificate of Education for the training. Those who successfully fulfill the requirements will receive a certificate as a Certified Sexual Reorientation Coach.
Psychotherapist, educator, and author Richard Cohen created this Counselor Training Program. He is the executive director of the International Healing Foundation. For over twenty-two years, Cohen has helped thousands of men and women come out of homosexuality, and parents restore relationships with their SSA children. Mr. Cohen will share the “how tos” of change. There will be allotted times for questions and answers. Mr. Cohen is the author of Coming Out Straight, Gay Children Straight Parents, and his upcoming book, Loving Gays the Right Way: The Other Side of Tolerance.
