Welcome
The International Black Film Festival, Inc is a 501 (c) (3) organization that screens films in feature length, documentary and short from the U.S, and abroad to education about the Human experience.
We are attempting to "assist artist in implementing a tradition in social responsibility" and creating dialogue among diverse communities by "using film as a tool of social change" because throughout the history of Africans in the Americas, Black artists have used art as a means of advocating social, economic and spiritual equality.
And, in effect they created "new aesthetic art forms" and "authentic national aesthetic expressions", i.e., Jazz, the American Theatre.
In accordance with our "Mission" the IBFF produces venues that focuses on films by diverse filmmakers.
In addition, to promoting diversity the IBFF has created venues wherein the audience can engage in discussion about important social issues.
We are committed to creating dialogue, awareness, and exchange amongst diverse communities at our "Annual Festivals and Monthly Forums".
We provide underserved communities and the general public with information and awareness they may not have access to and have developed an innovative model where education and the film arts meet.
We no longer live in the literary age and the IBFF is educating with film at venues that are "Free and Open to the Public" because we believe that " film can be used as a tool of social change".
The IBFF has the support of the community and many other organizations.
