International Black Film Festival(s)

In 2008  IBFF was nominated as one of the best film festival sites. Our congratulations to the winner- "Texas Black Film Festival".

2009 has given us a new President and a the U.S. a new direction and the IBFF continues to do its part by stimulating awareness.

We began the current season with a screening of the "I.O.U.S.A" a film about fiscal responsibility and the growing National debt and followed with a premiere screening of "Made in America",a documentary about California's epidemic gang violence and the war between the Crips and the Bloods that can be compared to the former war in Kosovo.

We reached into the Public schools in partnership with Bailey's Cafe and the Paul Robeson High School Leadership Team with a screening of "Juvies", a film about teenagers that are sent to prisons with adult sentences.

And, we're heading South in association with our partners,American Legacy Magazine and The Charitable Film Network  where we'll continue to stimulate awareness on history, humanity, society, and non-traditional points of view.

IBFF is developing venues wherein filmmakers can screen their films throughout the year and we invite you to participate.

Our "Meet the Makers" series is supported by a generous grant from the New York State Council on the Arts,Experimental Television Center and Puffin Foundation and hosts in person appearances of New York State artists.

We provide an uplifting and informative experience to a diverse audience and invite you to click on the calendar link below for information about IBFF venues, see, also, http://ibff.photosnyc.com.
