Scarecrow Stomp
a down-home fall family festival!

Sunday, September 21, 2008        11 am- 4 pm

Hanging the socks to dry    Scarecrow  Apple Press

Bring some old or outgrown pants and shirt to stuff, and make a scarecrow to take home (we'll provide the stuffings!). Press some apple cider (and taste the delicious results), crank the handle of our old fashioned wringer washer and hang your socks out to dry (actually parents, the kids LOVE this chore), and dress up like a "country bumpkin".

Awesome autumn crafts, old fashioned games (remember the ol' donut on the string game?) and lively folk music make this a family-friendly event!

Special guests this year will be the friendly folks from the Bristol County Beekeepers Association, who will bring some great displays and info and a real live "hive" of bees to teach us all about honeybees (don't worry - this is an enclosed demonstration hive).

Admission to the Scarecrow Stomp is:
• $4 per person for members
• $8 per person for non-members
with a family maximum of $30 (at same address)

Admission includes all Scarecrow Stomp activities and admission to the Museum’s interactive exhibits.  Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase.  Call ahead in the event of inclement weather.

The Scarecrow Stomp is funded by the A.D. Makepeace Company, host and sponsor of the Cranberry Harvest Celebration in Wareham.
