I don't think anxiety is ever a good emotion, but one many of us must deal with nonetheless. After 11 years as an RN at the same job I was suddenly let go a month ago. With 2 house payments and no income, unsure of my future, the question I believe God posed to me right away was "Can you trust me without the job?" Wow! The good news is that I knew I by myself could not, but Christ in me could, something I learned from Mike Coen. I think it is so important to God that we trust Him no matter how bleak our lives look at the moment, so important that He actually brings us through these tough times. I can tell you that it made me evaluate anew what was important to me in life. And now I think God could ask me anytime if I can trust Him without job, houses, income, a certain health, a particular relationship, and I would need to look to Him even for the way to trust Him through crisis times. I say He is all I need, but do I really believe it? This last month has been a true test, and my report is that the important thing is my relationship with God over any blessings He may give me. God has always taken very good care of me.
