Message Re: Anxiety was posted by april struck, on 2/2/2007 1:21:57 AM. Over the last 4 yrs when I had gotten very ill;I developed Fibromyalgia;I feel when I was a young girl growing up- I was very shy at times;but never anxious-people always complimented me
on handling tough situations so calmly;
But all the sudden with the Fibromyalgia pain-which makes you feel so tight in your muscles at times like a Python snake is strangling or your in a vice and the pain & tightness are
getting tighter at the same time the anxiety shoots up out of control;My MD
believes it is due to a Deficiency with
a neurotransmitter in the brain; which
causes the pain & anxiety escalsting;Stated their is no way to measure it-so By experimenting with
antidepressants & antiseizure drugs- Finding that right drug for that person then improves their condition so
they sleep better;their muscles relax;
and they start to feel better;The problem the Doctor says is: Since there is no way to measure; or see which -
neurotransmiiter is off; the only way to see improvement is to keep experimenting until you find the right one. I have never taken so many drugs in my life;but when I find something that does work-even for a little while;
it helps me forget the pain;and then do
something I haven't been able to do for
a while;Unfortunately-My Dr. and I are
in the searching phase again-----------
With my anxiety,Your Counseling has helped me the most to have someone
kind & compassionate to talk to and to pray and shareGod;s Living Word- What I need to hear and allow the living word of Christ permeate me & then have less pain or no
pain and calm down. Must enter into the
Rest of God-Sounds wonderful!! Lead the
way Lord.
